Living in a big city, I can completely understand why people love riding bikes. The amount of money you can save while getting in shape is great. It’s also a lot easier than sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Although I do get why cycling can be such a productive and fruitful lifestyle, I just am not ready to give up the convenience of my car.
Thanks to Swedish inventor Mikael Kjellman, there now is a solution. Mikael loves to ride his bike, but the harsh Swedish weather makes it impossible. That’s when he set out to design something that would work in any climate condition. Mikael came up with “PodRide,” a four-wheeled bicycle with a covered body to keep the driver warm and safe from the elements. What makes this little vehicle so unique, is that it looks like a small, one-person car traveling on the road.
Mikael recently opened up a crowdfunding campaign in an attempt to raise $30,000 so the vehicle can be produced. The video below shows just how it operates, and if you like what you see, you can donate to the cause here and help make it a reality.
