Boy’s Sand Bag Design Is Winning Him Awards

Peyton Robertson was 11 years-old and in sixth grade when he came up with a design to improve sandbags. He started considering the problem after he and his family experienced a hurricane. His new design is significantly lighter in weight than a regular sandbag, and would therefore be much easier to transport and stack in case of a flood. At SF Globe, we love sharing the stories of the brilliant young kids that are already taking steps to make the world a better place.
