Dance is always about timing and precision, but with this duo, even the environment is perfectly timed for their performance. Renee Kester and Phillip Chbeeb (also known as Pacman) put on an emotional, powerful performance in an eerily empty subway station. Choreographed by the two dancers, and set to Elliot Moss’s “Slip,” the video is subtle, yet incredibly intense.
These two dancers are making quite the name for themselves in the contemporary dance scene, with novel ideas and gorgeously shot videos of their work. There’s a sense of surrealism and magic in all of Chbeeb’s work, bringing everyday scenes into an extraordinary world all their own.
