Lucy lives in Fulham, England, and loves living in her neighborhood. She lived there for over 20 years when one day, her longtime 76-year-old neighbor, called “My Lady” told her she was locked out of her apartment and needed.
Lucy climbed through an open window, and could not believe what she saw. The apartment was filthy, and My Lady had been living in squalor. Moreover, Lucy found out; My Lady had not taken a bath in 13 years!
Says Lucy: “There was no food, filthy clothes, nobody to help her bathe and just never-ending loneliness and despair. What I saw when she finally let me in will stay with me forever! It was horrific! NOBODY should live like that!” So Lucy began cleaning and disinfecting and cleaning some more.
My Lady needed food, new clothes, and furniture, so Lucy posted on social media pleading for help. In no time at all, complete strangers donated so much to help My Lady out. Things have changed greatly for My Lady, with the help of her neighbor and strangers. Lucy now makes sure that her good neighbor is taken care of as much as possible.
