Patricia And Rob Created A Netflix Series Together
Patricia has a lot of experience as an actress, but her first American acting role was on Netflix’s sitcom “Real Rob‘. She co-wrote the show with her husband and it ran for two seasons from 2015 to 2017. The show focuses on the Schneider family and their Hollywood lives. The subject matter is mostly lighthearted, but there are some heavier topics like how fame can affect families.
Rob shared with Hollywood Reporter, “I didn’t want to be safe, because it’s more exciting as a performer to be fearless and to let my guard down more than I have ever done. I mean my wife and I might never do another season. I don’t know.” Rob Schneider‘s unique cultural background is clearly important to him, and it shows in the title of his Netflix special. His mom Pilar Monroe has Filipino roots; while his father Marvin Schneider was Jewish with family from Poland and Russia. His mom, Pilar, made an appearance on several of Rob’s films including Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Animal, and The Hot Chick. She was also in Restoration in 2016. Rob’s Netflix special is coming up, best wishes to Rob and his family.
