Once the base coat is dry, you paint a line of polish directly onto the stamper which has a sticky, convex, and silicone surface. Next, you dip your finger into the still-wet line of polish but only deep enough to create French tips that are just right for your desired thickness. When you’re done, just brush on some acetone to clean up any mistakes and finish with a topcoat for that sleek look.
I was eager to give this hack a try, but also skeptical that I would be able to pull it off. The last time I tried to DIY a French manicure, it turned out poorly. My skills have improved since then but still not enough for me to call myself an expert at this art form. When I was younger, there were always variations of the French manicure.
